Help with my new Bronco

Yeah I know it's not a Jeep, but I don't know of any good Bronco forums and I figure someone where will be able to help me.

This evening I bought a 1986 Ford Bronco with a 5.8 for $500 from a friend. I wont be picking it up until tomorrow, but I know one thing it does need is tires and wheels. I forgot to check the size when I was looking at it tonight. I was going to do some shopping online this evening but I don't know what to shop for.

Anyone know what size wheels and how many lug bolts my Bronco will have? It's an Eddie Bouer edition if that makes a difference in wheel options.

I searched tires.com and they told me the stock tire size was 235/75/15. Is this true? I just happen to have a set of TXRs in that size I had on my XJ before I went to a 33" tire. If only the bolt pattern was the same then I could just slap on my XJ wheels.

Also how big of tire can I run on this Bronco without having to worry about regearing?

Why would you ever get a bronco? Those are like the worst things ever. I hate them more than honda elements and that scion shit...

5 on 5.5 bolt patern and I have an 83 sitting no 33's and no lift.... It will have the 8.8 and you need to ditch it.

So I have an 8.8 back there? I thought that was a good axel?

I had to change the plugs and wires to get her running. Well she runs, but idles at 3k rpm. Any idea why? It has a carb.

i had an 89 with a fuel injected 351 and i couldn't get that bastard to ever run right, sold it for 900 bucks 2 years ago, best sell i ever made

Well there is a slim chance you got one with a 9" That was the last year of them. Good and 8.8 do not belong in the same sentence. My 83 is sitting with a broken 8.8 right now. The tubes will spin in the housing, I've seen it with the Ford Ranger and the 4.0L! Mine is all factory except for the 33's and they are an off brand at not a mudd. I have a 9" out of a 81 in my shop to replace the 8.8 but the heep is sucking up all my time. Once I fix it it will go to my parents house in Aiken,SC as a fishiing and hunting truck. Woo Hooo! HTH...

Best hope gas dont go to high if ya plan on driving it much. Puta, the one I had with a 351 got about 8mpg with the 2bbl and auto. TTB front end sucked, but for $500 what the hey. cant go wrong if it goes down the road.
