Gutter Trim

Hey,

A Roof Rack with GUTTER MOUNTS.

Do I need to remove the chrome trim or should I notch it out (not sure how it good it would look after I "doctored") for these GUTTER MOUNTS to hold?

Which gutter mounts?

I used an L.L. Bean gutter mount canoe rack for years and mounted it over the chrome(like) trim. Now I have a Garvin Wilderness rack mounted the same way. There's no need to butcher the trim.

Thx for the reply.

The ones for the SURCO ROOF RACK. The Rack is Aluminum but the Gutter Mounts are Steel.

i use surco gutter mounts right over the gutter or the chrome on yours mine are black. looks and works fine.

I assume you can go over the chrome....I did with my lightbar.
