I had a fuel line retainer clip fail on the fuel line going to the fuel pressure regulator. I have looked everywhere for a direct replacement, (dealer, napa, vato zone, checker, kragen) and no luck. Besides junk yard what are my other options? Anyone know of some place local that may be able to help?

Thanks,

bub

They are at every auto parts store I have been to.

GM has been using them for years.

I bought them at my local dealership no more than two weeks ago. $8, they had like 15 in stock..

^ what he said. they come sized for 5/16 or 3/8" fittings, and are usually 2 or more to a pack. NAPA carries them for sure i've seen them hanging on the wall before at my shop. tell the counterman you need GM quick disconnect clips.

all it's doing is keeping tension on the orings that are down inside the QD housing, it should make no difference whatsoever.

The GM clips worked out great, just had to give them a little extra love and they popped right in. Thanks for all the help!

In my experience, the orafice must be pretty well cleaned out in order for the fitting to seal but once they are together they actually work pretty well.

The ones on the transmission are real fun with all the dirt accumulated in them over the years. :gee:

I haven't gotten to those yet...but I'm sure they are soon to follow. Anyone have a good lead on the electrical connector from the harness to the fuel injector. Have a few just barely hanging on due to minor fire...lol...
