front axle swap

As big as you want to make it.

Grand Waggy 44 - Build or buy brackets, modify brackets, get high steering, alloy shafts, CTM's. Or, rework control arms and put in a newly designed suspension.

Ford HP44 - Cut housing (unless you want full width), build and buy the above.

Plan on $$ as the biggest issue. I had $350 in a narrowed Ford housing with stock inner shafts and Ford knuckles and it cost me around $1500 to get it rolling. That didn't include high steering or alloy shafts and I used a lockright to cut costs.

60s 60s 60s 60s! :skull1:

look for a d44 that has flat top knuckels so you can drill and tap it for high steer arms.

the flat top chevy knuckles will swap onto the waggy axles..

you want open knuckles U-joints, not close knuckle type axles.

you want a drivers drop if your keeping the cherokee TC.

High pinnion helps your front drive shaft angle.

Are you gonna go leaf sprung front. or are you gonna weld on some brackets and keep your coils?

I chose to go leaf sprung for now, cause its cheep, reliable, and easy.

Here is a dodge d44 front, its passenger side drop so nto what you want but this is the type of knuckles you want and shows the U-joint..

Leafs rule!
