Well we are flooding. I tried to get into my cabin today on the north end of the Bighorn Mountains on the Littlehorn River. Even after detouring around numerous flooded roads I was blocked by a major washout at the mouth of the canyon where the cabin is located. Chck out the link. I know we have nothing on the south but this is Wyoming and Montana and this is rare for us.

I feel for you man. I was in Miles City over the weekend for the Bucking Horse Sale. What a mess, it rained the entire time. The Tongue River was out of it's banks, the fairgrounds was one giant mud pit, and everybody/everything was soaked. Didn't stop any of the street parties or bar festivities though. :D I hope you guys catch a break soon.

I wish you could send some our way. It is very dry in West Texas this year.

I would love to send some of this your way. We are at 170% for snow pack and then got nailed with several inches of rain and another couple feet of snow. The snow has yet to start melting and that will be when it gets real interesting.

After looking at the news though I feel pretty lucky compared to the folks in Missouri. It definitely makes our problems seem small. I really feel for those folks.

I started across this normally dry stream bed to get into our cabin yeterday but decided with no one to spot me or play recovery it was not a good idea. I did back into the stream bed to get an idea of the depth. I figured better to be pointed out with a engine above water than in with my nose flooded. When the water went over the bumper and I was still not close bottom or middle, common sense said enough and I headed out.

This is the main block its normally a dry steam bed that somtimes has about three inches of water.

Wish I would have known you were there I was basically sitting here with my thumb in my.....well you know. I'd definitely bailed and come up that way to enjoy some adult beverages.

It had been rough down here the last couple months. Its finally let up to the point that rain is just scattered everyday!

Our weather guessers mentioned we are 16.5 inches above normal so far this year. I've been considering a rice paddy in the front corner of my property.

See you there next year.

Call me I'll buy the first five rounds. Good thing you aren't there today. We are getting hammered again and they are closing more roads from the sounds of it. :flamemad:

On a side note I am waiting to hear back from my cousin and his family. They live in the region of Oklahoma that got nailed today. I got a short message from him but he had not heard from his folks yet.
