Alright, I have a waggy 44 right now, and all parts I need to completly rebuild, lock and gear it. However I came across a housing from a 77 f-150, and am thinking about building it instead. The only thing that might not work as I understand for the center section is the inner axle seals, and obviously the gears. Here's where i need info, there is nothing past the inner c's on this axle. What vehicles and years can I steal parts from to put this togather as it would be stock? I do have the axle shafts, Any info would be great, thank you for reading.

you can use the waggy knuckles, hubs, stubs, etc. i believe, if you wanted to. i believe most guys use chevy flat tops and go high steer though.

Yeah, deffinitly. neither of which would put the axle togather as if it were the factory f150 axle tho. I essentially want the axle assembled as it was from the factory. I need to know what ford parts can be used. Are bronco parts the same? How late were the outers the same? Did they change when they went to twin I beam?

TTB knuckles won't work, but you can use open style knuckles up to '79. The stub shafts match the knuckles they came with, and TTB stubs are slightly too long and will bind when assebled. Otherwise the parts are the same, so no to TTB Knuckles and Stubshafts, yes to the rest.

Are you going to use the waggy hubs? They are 6 on 51/2 bolt pattern. The ford is 5 on 51/2 bolt pattern. If you go with the waggy the knuckles, hubs, rotors, spindles calipars, calipars mounts will work on the ford housing. If you go with the ford you will need the chevy small bearing spindles and ford hub and rotors the rest of the parts should work. If you have locking hubs on the waggy they will work on the ford hubs.

The only spindle that will work with the ford knuckles is a ford spindle ... they are a 5 bolt spindle to knuckle pattern ... can't use a Chevy spindle with them.

Wasn,t aware you had the ford knuckles. You said you had nothing passed the C,s. It appeared you where going to use the waggy knuckles.

I have not researched it but I heard or read some where that the TTB did interchange, not sure now! I know for a fact that the pre runner 2x4 guys use the TTB knuckles to build their I-beams for their suspension so maybe that's what I was reading about?

Just to thrown more choices, What about International 44's outters they have 5 on 5.5, will they work? Any way there is a very good website I've used before. He goes over flat tops and everything else, even why not to use FORD flat tops that were available but rare! If it doesn't come up it's Mr N's Dana Axle Articles. http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/web_rs44.html
