hey anyone know if you can run a flowmaster backwards. i kno that there is a specified inlet but what happens if i run it backwards. the reason i ask is becuase my inlet is mangled and i was trying to get away without buying anew one. thanks
the flow in the muffler will be all wrong. The baffles are setup in a specific pattern to direct the exhaust in a manner that cacles out the resonant noise and also be less restrictive. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/40_orig.html
look at the baffles in the cut away view, then look at how the flow will change if you run it backwards.
It's likely that it will work, but it will probably cost some performance and sound horrible.
