Fixing Floor

I thing about herculing the inside of my jeep. Pulled part of the carpet up and im seeing rust. What i want to do is coat the entire floor with por 15 then put the herculiner and then maybe some dynomat. But i want to put my carpet back in.
Do you guys see any problem with that or any other thoughts or should i be good to go.
