Let's hear your favorite trails around the North East....

for a simple one day, In and Out I Love MaBell in Mass....

For longer range stuff I've been enjoying Maine and just jumping on some old roads from my Wife's family Camp in Brownville Junction and just being gone for 3 days...

What about you?

hey RJ, if you came out to a Mohawk Madness run you'd have new favorites..:D

i really dig Ma Belle too.. but a lil FYI here, the owner doesn't like rigs messing around on the rock face at the trail head... here's my pics from the day you and i "kinda" met in passing..

i have a few other local favorites, but i have a particular "hard-on" to run the Beacon in the spring...

I've done Sucker Pond, Earles Famous VT Trail ;) and Old Fla Rd Out there....I love the area, but this past season it seems like there were just not enough days!! We had over 24 days on the trail this year!! And we're not done... I leave on the 12'th for 3 days out camping and wheeling in VT....ahhhh!! Nothing Like Winter Camping!!!

Mabell is cool just because it has a lil of everything....a bit Like Mt Abbot here in Maine...there are lines for a stocker all the way up, but there are lines Will has rolled the Buggy on and lines I've backed off of SCARED...

So far Mt Abbott In Maine is it for me, good views from the top, and you can make it as easy or difficult as you would like.

There are no legal trails around me. There are still a few less than legal places, but they are getting fewer and far between. I'm from Long Island and we've traded in any open space for a strip mall or condos. I can get a beach permit, but the kids and buckets keep getting stuck on the grill.

I have no favorite trails in the NorthEast. I love Tellico for scenery, and spincter-tweaking trails. I dig GWNF in Virginia for scenery.

Pennsylvania doesn't have too much. There were some nice trails that I really liked, but they've recently been converted to State Game Lands, so they're out. Paragon offers some great challenges, but no trails stand out as special.

I've never been wheelin north of southern NY state, except for one weekend at Rovers North in Vermont, but that doesn't really count ... although the trails and the whole area was beautiful. I would love to go back.

My clubmates used to make trips up to the trails you guys are talking about, but I was never able to make those runs. In fact, I think I was signed up for Trailfest the year they cancelled it. I was really excited to go, too.

Yeah, I'd really like to head north and check things out. I tend to dig trails that are well-rounded as far as scenery and technical terrain, and it sounds like thats what you got in New England. Jen and I have been talking about making a vacation-style trip up there anyway.

i know you'll love the mohawk trail runs we do in the corner of MA/Vt/NY.. incredible scenery and some very challenging trails, something for everyone.. including stock height vehicles..
