To begin with i sheered the HD end off my rustys tracbar. I sent it back and they said my "new" one would ship out the same day they got mine. Mine got there on sat jan 29th and i just got mine today feb the 10th. haha horseshit. so i got to install it and 1st of they didnt give me a new tbar they got my sheered off end out which was impossible bc it sheered off inside the bar. next i guess they retapped it and put another end on it. well this end is sloppy and im pissed. also the end they sent is like 1/8 inch wider than the one that was originally on there so it wont fit in my mount. they want me to send it back AGAIN which cost $20 the 1st time. **** RUSTYS and anyone associated with them. horsehit customer service, i will never do business again.

this doesnt belong here

I've heard a few people complain about them, no experience with them myself, but I think this thread would be better in the Non Tech/Off Topic section.

i think its tech, i cant get the damn hd TRE into the mount bc its too wide with thee bushing, but what i can do if you guys think its alright is flip the trac bar. the fixed end that mounts at the axle fixts into the frame mount. and the fed up oversized end fits snuggly at the axle end. i will have to change bushings though bc the bolts are diff sizes. what do you think? and i lied its 1/32 wider that the end that came on the orig bar.

ok - acording to my research -
Rusty's HD mount has a 2" wide mouth for the sleve and bushing to go into.
I am unsure of the size of the opening on the axle end.
If you have the HD mount - then you dont have a TRE - you have a sleve with a bushing inside and another sleve inside the bushing that the bolt goes in.

There are bends in the trackbar that solve flex and clearance issues, and i am not well versed with the Rusty's trackbar bends and design, however - with my RRO trackbar, it only fits one way...

No matter what people on the forum say - its up to you to assume the risk for installing it upside down / backwards. I know that no company will waranty a broken part that was installed upside down / backwards - so you would probably loose that too...

good luck

I have had really good luck with Rusty's with shipping, and CS. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I know it sucks to have your rig down.

Your mount is probably pinched due to torqueing the old end into it. I assume you had to wiggle the old one out. Quit crying and spread it a 32nd of an inch. Man I had to jam mine in when it was new. Tight is good when it comes to a trac bar. Sounds like he's helping you out. A 12 day turnaround on a warranty is VERY fast. What more do you want?
P.S. Did you try screaming at him like a jerk on the phone? That usually really helps matters.
later

I had good luck with their CS. Shipped me a tow hook kit without the hooks and sent them out to me right away, no questions asked. I haven't installed yet, but soon as I do I'll let you know how the fit and everything is...

agree with XJ ranger. If it's Rusty's HD Trac Bar it has a bushing end at the frame bracket not a TRE. So for 1/32 of an inch, spread the bracket and install the trac bar.
If a tight fit bothers ya don't plan on going to heim joint's anytime soon.

As to Rusty's shipping issues, yes he sometimes has a few. I have received things the day after I called and waited for several weeks in a couple of cases, But in my humble opinion, you will be hard pressed to find the owner of a buisness with as much knowledge that is as willing to take the time to talk to ya as with Rusty. Try to get ahold of he owner of sam's off road sometime.

Just looked at my rusty's tow hooks, and they are actually bent towards the rear of the mount. I got jerked so hard that where the last bolt is at, looks like someone stuck a crowbar in there, and tried to pry it out. Wierd.

so guess who calls and apologizes after i emailed pics to rustys. RUSTY himself, he said the width of the hd bushing and sleeve end is incorrect(yes i know its bushing and sleeve but i still call it a tre). hee said theere is going to bee a little play in the threads which is bs, bc i didnt seem to have any with the old end. anywho, im still pissed about thee play in threads but im glad they are sending me the right part free of charge, but the fact that i have been a customer for over 5 yrs doesnt mean shit and it takes pics and video for him to agree they did wrong is bs. i had a leak in my fox air shocks and the didnt say send it back or its not tight they sent me a brand new one with a return postage stamp, now thats cu servicee.
