embarrassing: how do you shift a 59 willys into 4wd and into low range

so i have a project on the side, a 59 willys.
ive done alotta xj cases, and have also bought 6 jeeps since feb.
i have been jeeping xjs for like 10 years. but this is my first willys .
its a twin stick, but i dont know which is which. if i shift one of them, the jeep wont move. if i shift the other the thing doesnt really wanna go. where are the shifters supposed to be for:

2wd
4wd hi
4wd lo

or is there only 4wd? and no hi or lo?

sorry but im a newb. i used to have a twin stick scout and had no problems,
but when i shift this guy it doesnt seem to work...

thanks. i ended up finding something on pirate later last night.
im in the process of fine tuning the carb after the rebuild. and realized since ive only had the jeep for 2 months and its been sitting in the garage tha ive never put it in 4...
