electrical problems

So I'm having some electrical issues, when I hit the brakes it makes this wierd tik tik tik noice over and over and my brake lights dont work, but it makes my sub hit? where should I start looking for shorts etc?

Where did you run the power wire for the amp?

I'd start with your amp install.

From working at a stereo shop, when people have electrical problems with cars and they have a sub and amp installed 9 times out of 10 it has something to do with that wiring.

Start at the brak light switch. Check for continuity to ground.

my battery is behind my passenger seat, power wire goes straight from there to my amp.

also go through all the bulbs on your truck, when i got mine had major electrical issues, really weird stuff, cleaned all the corrosion and cleaned the grounds and voila!!

I hit my tank with a sledge hammer and it all was fixed including my gas gauge.
