Doors are for the weak

So while I was wheeling Eagle Rock yesterday my Jeep decided to get into an argument with a tree, well the tree decided to bitch slap the mirror right off my Jeeps passenger door. No big deal though, the mirror snapped right back into place. Well apparently my Jeep hadn't learned its lesson as it then picked a fight with an even bigger tree. This tree not only ripped the mirror completely off (snapping the mounts and wiring harness) but dented and scratched the door as well. Now as punishment I proceededto ground my Jeep and remove both its front doors. I was going to take off the back doors too but the wife said I have to wait until Colin gets older.

Now its time for some tube doors.

its a good thing jeeps run hot lol...had the doors off my old xj...when its wet...water flies up and get on the inside of the windsheild....super irritating

Driving without out doors is great 79% of the time... the rest of the time its cold and rainy, and your a long way from home. Do you need a mirror on the driver side?

I was going to try and get some of the doorless mirror brackets they use on TJ's and use those along with a TJ mirrors. I want mirrors on both sides, it sucked driving home from EagleRock with no mirror there. I was really disoriented.

I have been toying with this idea!! I want to make my stock doors to where I can remove them on a whim ie...pull 2 pins and pull apart the wireing harness, then be able to put them back on just as quickly!! I have a good idea, just no time right now....

looks good dude... might be cold this winter tho
..........he has audism, he has a nice Audi he drives everyday I think :laugh2:

I'll be installing the TNT belly pan over the winter, along with the rest of my revised suspension/drivetrain. I did just order a TeraFlex lowgear kit for the NP231 that should get here this weekend, I'll go ahead and install that. The rest of the stuff will wait until I get everything sourced and built.

I am planning on some tube doors, plus I'll be modding the hinges so I can remove and reinstall the doors easily. Once I get my trailer built I plan on taking that up with me to the trail and then ditching the doors and leaving them in the trailer at the base. That way I can reinstall them and drive the family home in relative comfort.

Yeah, I have an Audi S4 thats not only AWD but even has an electronic rear diff lock. Winters are no longer something to be scared of for me, good thing too because I live out in the boonies. Besides, I can always just put on a warm coat and snowpants and have a blast driving the Jeep to work on the unplowed county roads. :D
