dodge caravan struts

anyone ever change these, how big of a pain are they. i have to change my moms most likely next weekend and i'd like to know what i'm getting into. the front struts on a 94 btw.

Easy....you have..IIRC 2 bolts holding it onto the spindle, and 3 up top.

just swaping them in is about 45 minutes each side.

That year / body style is much more user friendly than the new ones that are half tucked under the cowl.

thanks, i knew there were only 3 up top but hadnt had a chance to look at the bottom. theres nothing tricky about it. strut compressor unbolt, thenbolt in the new one?

YUP. Easy as pie. Once the wheel is off... its 10 minutes at best getting it out.

the only thing I could recommend is to start soaking the lower bolts with penatrant before hand. THe lower bolts on my dad's were a PITA to get off.
