I have a Dodge 47RE trans for a 2000-2003 truck, new Dodge converter
and fully rebuilt. I was going use this with a cummins swap that I since
talked myself out of. I'm looking for $1500 for it.

Any upgrades done to it? Not really worth picking up if it craps out under 800 foot pounds :D

Not worth picking up? the cost of the converter alone is $830.00 bucks, thats a smoking deal. Anything through the aftermarket is around $4000.00(complete trans and converter)

This ones stock. With a NEW converter, and yes the converter alone was
$830. This trans was built stock because I knew it would handle what I
was going to do to it. I could always upgrade it later if I had to. If it
had extra goodies then I could not offer it at such a low price.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude. It is a great deal, but if it is stock rebuild, then it won't do ME any good. Really doesn't matter if it free when you burn it up in a couple weeks.

For someone with a stock truck thats a smokin deal.

Mine has very little done to it right now. I am waiting til I upgrade the tranny. I have a 98 12v. In the end, I would like around 350 hp/800 lb ft. Current tranny has 240K on it, so I don't want to push it very hard.

FYI
a good stock rebuilt tranny with a couple internal updates and a new VB from suncoast will hold up to 700+ tq and over 300hp.
I just got the 47RE rebuilt in my '96. The builder works at a dealer in lake perris. He did a factory rebuild and took it back to brand new, with a few small updates like certain seals and stuff. Then I put it back together with a brand new suncoast Valve body. For a TC I picked up a PDQ HD diesel tranny converter only cost about $500. It has a extra low stall, billit cover and extra wide heavy duty clutch.
I'm pushing 311hp and 730tq and it locks up solid in all gears. I drop the truck into OD at 40mph, lock the TC and stand on the throttle. by 45mph the boost comes up to 34psi at about 1400rpm's and the joyride begins. 45-80 in about 5 seconds in a 7000# truck is a lot of fun.
My builder built the same tranny's for Freedom Diesels in Hemet but with his own VB. oh and the VB from SC came with the aluminum acumulator piston, billet anchor and 2nd gear apply strut.
So yeah, a stock built tranny can hold up with the right VB. the VB and converter are the most critical.
$1500 for that is a good deal.

I went out to fire up the 460 in the MOHO today cause I got to get it smogged by next week. I have a little lifter tick. I think the cummin's swap
might be back on......That's a good deal on the low stall converter.
