Hey all you fellers with Detroits in teh rear:
How much noise does your detroit make? I had a lock right before, and am used to those noises, now my detroit just kinda clunks a lot. If it is in park and I rock it back and forth it does sort of a clunk-clunk with teh second one being more prominent. Otherwise, when its in drive, It clunks just as I am taking off from a dead stop, and then sometimes as I am slowing down as well. Any guesses? It is coming from inside the diff, I can certainly pull the cover and look at it, but am doubting I will see anything unusual. It is not functioning any different, so I guess I am jsut curious what is normal noise and what is something I should look at?
Its just wierd to me that it would clunk even when I am going straight, i.e. the part where it clunks taking off and slowing down. But if that is just part of driving with a detroit on teh road, then so be it! Thanks for any and all help!
