Dana 44 from an 87 XJ for sale

Hey guys I have a Dana 44 in good shape out of a 1987 XJ for sale. I took it home, popped the cover and everything looks good. I cleaned it up really well and hit it with paint to keep it looking clean. I am going to wrap it in plastic wrap to make sure it stays clean. It is geared 3.07. It came out of a stick XJ. I am asking $400.00 obo. I DONT CARE IF YOU THINK ITS HIGH ON THE PRICE, if you do, then don't buy it but keep your comments to yourself. I will crate and ship it but that is on your dime. Sweet axle. My buddy just picked up a parts donor that had one.
We found out through naxja that ford 8.8 backing plates will fit with little modification to have disc brakes on an xj dana 44. It's a different bolt pattern from the zj/tj axles.
By the time you get an 8.8 ready to bolt in, you might be close to $400 anyway. This thing just fits.

The price is reasonable for an upgrade that bolts on from the factory. There is a shop here that will pay me $350 cash for any XJ, D-44 that I find.

Any shop that takes the time to set an 8.8 in a jig, and make sure the housing is straight before welding anything, will charge way more that $400.
