D35 Pinion Nut Removal

Is there a trick way that makes it easy to get the pinion nut off of a D35?

Dont know what other folks do but after I had the diff cover off, I just stuck a heavy screw driver or prybar in the carrier to jam things while I torqued off the nut...didnt damage anyhting and it came right off.

Air tool!

1/2" impact air gun! The only easy way. Otherwise go for Rich's idea.

A pipe wrench big enough to get a good safe grip on the outside of the flange, with a piece of pipe stuck over the handle long enough to hit the ground.
