everyone is so senstive. assgas: a simple pm from a mod :compwork: after the original two posts to let me know what the deal was would have been helpful, instead of having a bunch of smartasses rant on. would it be possible to get back to the original question at hand? just curious, i'd hate to tie up good bandwidth. :shiver: or do i need to say i'm sorry. :kissyou:

It would be helpful... Also, if you don't want people being a smarta$$ on your thread, don't be one yourself.

People are justing trying to help in their own way.. Plus, keep in mind that a lot of people read threads without posting replies too.

btw - I'm trying to following this thread to get ideas too.

I recently completed a set of tube fenders for my heep....not an easy project. I seen alot of rigs on the internet with similiar fenders and liked the look so I ran with the idea.

A bit of advice for ya....practice welding the thin body panels to thicker steel. A lot my welds look like crap even though I I turn the heat way down. YMMV.

thanks frank, i'll be trying that this summer. do you have any upclose pics of how you tied them into the "frame"? it seems that they wouldn't be strong enough just being attached to the fenders. thanks again.

you could also do it like the guy with the orange xj did his...
apologies on forgetting the name.
he tied his in by welding to some thor 1/4 panel guards and some front guard things....
I think that's the route I'd go.
if you don't know who I'm talking about I'll try and find his thread somewhere.
