So I just noticed my exhaust mani is cracked all around. Any suggestions on replacement for 92 4.0?? Also should I be looking at motor mounts while in in there?
I used APN and had troubles with fitment (on my '99) and some problems with the smog nazis. I also had to get a new gasket from APN, but they send one for free as the original was damaged in shipping. I'm thinking of changing back to OE, Banks, or something else pending forum feedback.
For mounts, go with Brown Dog. Very well build and great customer service.
I have used the ones with the expansion joints between the 1st and 6th cylinders with good results (on ebay for $90 or so). They are not technically smog legal but I have had no issue smogging multiple vehicles with them. And I refuse to pay $500 for an exhaust header that might crack again (like a friends smog legal one did).
Yes, the Borla is very much California smog legal. There CARB EO number is clearly visable on a small plate attached to one of the tubes visable thru a gap in the intake manifold. I've even had a smog tech write the number down and go and actually look it up!
