91 Xj, 200,xxx miles,

Putting a new exhaust manifold on today. Just a OEM one with flex ends on 1 and 6. I put new fuel pump in, O2 sensor, fuel pressure regulator, spark plugs and cap and wires, fuel filter and other stuff I cant think of right now. But I was curious on if it would be a good idea to put some additive in the fuel and oil to clean it out and run better after all this work as I was having engine issues prior to all this work and what additives you suggest!?!?! this is a DD and trail rig and sees a lot of miles. I have noticed it runs better with premium 91 gas so thats what I run.

Also Ive heard mixed emotions about putting heavy duty motor mounts in a cherokee because of the stiffness. stock mounts are cheap and have some give. I would rather have to replace stock mounts every year over damaging the frame or other components in result of a stiff heavy duty motor mount.
. what do you guys think?

Thanks,

Additives: BG 44k good stuff but expensive, find it at NAPA.
Another good additive is STP fuel injector cleaner.
and another is Sea Foam

IMPO you are wasting your money with 91 octane fuel. The 4.0 just does not need it, especially here at 5k+ feet.

I too have tried the MORE HD motor mounts in both flavors and hated them both... They don't cause damage but the vibes they transfer suck. So, like you would rather change the drivers mount once or twice a year and have a nice quiet cab.
The OEM jeep mount last the best and have a 2 year warranty.

I've used Sea foam. And I thought about using it in the oil before I change my oil soon. never used BG44k. you think its better?
It seems I get better millage with the 91 octane. I have 4.88 gears with 33s so my rpms are crazy and gas millage is shity.

After the manifold swap seems my rpms a little low. 500 and lower. it doesnt sputter. Im going to go through and clean all the wire connects and check stuff again. Seems to run better already.

Thanks Digger
