Cold Idle Problem

I have a 88 Cherokee 4.0 that is having a problem idling on cold mornings. The engine runs and idles great on warm days. It only idles rough when it is cold. It almost sounds like it is missing. It clears up and runs well when it is running over 1000 rpms. I have done a complete tune-up on it. Has anyone else had this problem.

Welcome newbie!

Hmmm....thinking.....thinking.....BING!

#1) Loose, missing, or damaged heat exchange hose. This runs between the side of the exhaust manifold to the side/front of the air filter box.

#2) Dirty / Sticking throttle body.

#3) Vacuum loss.
