allright at the risk of asking questions that may have been asked, I appologize ahead of time. I picked up a 20# alum. co2 tank today & I have a few questions. the tank came w/regulator that has two gauges the first goes to 4000 psi, the second goes to 30 cfh, then out to a quick connect. Is this the undesirable fitting that is no good for airing tires & running tools. I went ahead and bought a 125 williams regulator just in case. If any one has any info on this I would really appreciate it. Does anyone know of anyone local(port orchard,bremerton)that can fill the tank that is open on the weekends. Thanks.

Allrighty then, I suppose I will get this tank filled and just do a few tests. The regulators come off when the tank gets filled anyway. So I'll test them both, I have a stack of the washers that are used to seal the regulator to the tank.

I bought a powertank a little while back.. love it. I'm not exactly sure what your cfm guage reads but it could be cubic feet per minute (similar to injectors (or was it throttle bodies)) The important thing is that your regulator have a high flow capacity. that the cfm be way up there. Most Hospital or welding gasses use very low pressure and only need a slow output. for hand tools you may need 90psi or greater. There is no way you can get that out of a hospital style regulator, nor a scuba style. It would cause your lungs to explode if you put it in your mouth.

the twin gauge reg is not going to be good for filling tires and stuff if you have the williams( i think thats the one i have ) that will wotk much better the twin will frost up on the inside and at times almost stop the flow of gas you also dont need a press gauge on the tank side because c02 will keep the same tank pressure til its almost empty

Thanks guys, the regulator w/ the gauges was a low pressure one. So I will try a test w/the william reg. tommorow (125psi) I'll let you know how it goes.

Allright, i tested the williams regulator yesterday & it seems to work great. AIred up from ten lbs to 30 in a little over a minute. the regulator frosted up a little but never slowed down. So I have to test it on a run soon airing up more than my four tires.
