Well with the warm weather coming in, I'm getting antsy with the sawzall again.
I love the look of chopped top ZJs and wanted to do it to my old one and now the new one.
I've got one wish though, my ZJ is my DD and I know chopping the top will kill the structure/chassis rigidity and make the unibody taco itself up at any sort of road speed. Now sure, I could build or have a cage done but I don't have a spare $2000 sitting around right now.
I've seen some rigged up stiffeners that tie thing back together, here's one:
Any ideas on what I could do to tie it all in again if I chop the top?
I'd also like to be able to put the top back on, any ideas there?
