Vehicle:
1993 Chevy G20 (3/4 ton cargo van), 202XXX miles, 305, auto tranny, no a/c.
New or fixed:
New alt about 2 years ago (tests good), new rad about 1 year ago, new fuel pump and filter 1 year ago, battery needs refilled/recharged or replaced (but has enough charge to start van and let me sit with the motor off for 30+ minutes with lights on).
Problem:
4 times over the past 8-9 months if the nose is sitting higher than the rear end when you start the van, it would start and run for about a block and then shut off. It would take a few pumps of the peddle to get her running again, it would run rough for just less than a minute. Then fine. Yesterday tho it did it twice in once and once with the nose sitting uphill. Both times it actually refused to start without help. Both times the battery spun the starter fine for 15+ minutes. Hit it with a shot of starter fluid and she fired up. Ran rough for 30-45 secs and then fine.
Carb? Float? Can hear the pump working so "shouldn't" be the fairly new pump.
