It's a 1980 Ford Bronco, 302 V8 (just did a recent tune-up including plugs, wires, cap & rotor, rebuilt the carb), T-18 "granny gear" 4 speed trans, can't remember right off hand what t-case it has, but it got 2.73 low range IIRC. 9" rear & Dana 44 TTB frontend with 3.00 gears. It's nothing special. Just a solid old truck that's set up for towing, but I only towed with it once or twice before buying something with better A/C (I have a 1 yr. old daughter to consider). It does have A/C, but it doesn't blow all that cold. Probably needs a new compressor, which I have one to replace it (used-but in good condition). The engine makes plenty of torque for towing duty, but is small enough not to kill your wallet at the gas pump. Tires are nearly new 31x10.50 all terrains. It has a brand new Reese class 4/5 hitch, and a new 7 pin/4 pin combo trailer connector. Brand new pair of Gabriel air shocks out back. Interior show it's age, but the seats are in great shape with no rips or tears.

I'd like to get $2,000 OBO out of it, but I've got way more than that in it because I never really planned on selling it, so I was doing it up right when I worked on it.

the wheel base is really to short to tow very much..

don't get me wrong i love the old f-s broncos i used to have a 90 w/ efi351 it would pull heLL outta the ground if you ahd a chain strong enough, but a tower it wasn't except maybe a bass-boat..

Re: Cheap tow rig or 'wheeler for sale!!

Well, it towed pretty well the couple of times that I used it :dunno: I guess having 4 wheel brakes on the trailer helped out, though.

I forgot to add that I rebuilt the front brakes using new rotors, calipers, pads, hoses, and repacked the bearings less than 1,000 miles ago. The rear drums still had plenty of life left in them.

i had an 89 efi 351 and towed a stang from 29 palms cali to ringgold and it never broke stride it was a great pull with 33s and a 410 in the rear

Tcase should be a NP 208. IMSC. I don't think they went to BW till later.
