Cool, I'll be on the lookout.

I'm heading to the staging area just before Doran and Odessa, should be there early Saturday morning. Not sure if I'm staying overnight yet.

For Nov 20-21, I may be there on Friday (19th) and leave late Sunday.
Where are the cabins at?

How does Doran sound to you all? Perfect run for Sat, QUOTE]
Yeah, I'd like to run up Dornan, I'll still need the bypass at the bottom though. Not for too much longer, I've finally embezzled enough money from myself to get going on the gears and axles. It's the slow way I know, but making payments is bad. Love that all cash build-up. I've been temped from time to time though. But I just make a "U" turn and go back to clear thinking. LOL OK, not clear thinking, just a tight a$$.
I got to go down it last time after going up Odessa, looked like a good run for going up. Especially in the "Mervyn's Mobile" open open open open. :D

Is that why your avatar has a stick figure walking in circles? :D
Yeah, that's one of them four sided circles. They're new here. I think they import them from somewhere in eastern europe. I've heard that they don't roll as easy though. :greensmok

For those of us from Canada, where is Calico, near Barstow?? also, am new to this XJ stuff. What kind of setup on the jeep do you need to be able to go on the two trails you are talking about. A little infor would be appreciated for us newbies.

is this still on?
As far as I am concerned. I think I'm going to drive out late Fri. evening. I have a "Red Rider" class till 9pm, not sure where that is though. Ethan and I will be checking into the Ramada late.

I suppose that I should write up a disclaimer that this is not an"official NAXJA" run.
I will also post the required safety/recovery stuff in the next day or two.

Tim B.

This is an informal (not NAXJA supported) run.

Required Equipment:
Solid recovery points front and rear (tow hooks, shackles/d-rings, receivers), first aid kit, fire extinguisher, snatch strap (no chains, no strap with metal hooks), spare tire and all necessary hardware.

Recomended stuff:
3" lift, rocker protection, High lift Jack, tire plugs, spare fluids for you and your rig, flash light, layered clothing, spares for anything you plan to break.
CB is optional

Ethan and I will be at the main entrance at 9:00 am Saturday morning. I'll have the CB on channel 4. There is cel phone reception at the gate, my # is 909-633-8605.
