I cant do the math for you, and dont explain it like an expert professional welder can, but 100A from a 110V welder is NOT AS HOT as 100A from a 220V welder. Just take my word on it.

Yep and a 100 amps from a stick is hotter than 100 amps from a MIG. I don’t know how or why, but I’ve proved it to myself a couple of times.

Sometimes... at band camp.... wait, thats a different story. Sometimes if Im too lazy to get the torch and need to cut a piece of material (nothing clean, just cut), I just burn it through with a 6011. Does that make me evil?
