bushwacker cutouts ?

i was going to cut my front fender off below the headlight but i am planning on bushwacker cut outs and want to make shure you dont need any part ot the fender in that area for the cutouts i've never seen them on an xj in person to look

I've only seen pictures, but from the pictures it doesn't appear you need anything below the grille.

You cut the front of the fenders off even with the bottom of the light...I stopped by the body shop today to see how my paint job/flare installation was going...maybe i'll get it back by this weekend. Hope, Hope, Hope...i'm jonesin' for my Jeep...my S-10 is WAY too quiet....and LOW...
