Bumping threads - the etiquette

I have a thread in the Vendors forum. Is it acceptable to bump it every couple of weeks? I learned yesterday this forum has a neat little bit of technology that removes the ability to edit after a few minutes - nice touch, it shows the designers were thinking (of a couple of things).

Anyway, before I go abusing anything, I wanted to hear from a mod or two if this was an acceptable practice.
