Brake line fitting size

I'm going to be doing some major rebuild on my 88MJ and 93xj. One of the things I'm wanting to do is replace all the old hard lines, as well as remove the height sensing valve from the MJ. The brake line ends on the prop valves shouldn't be any problems as they're probably in the best shape of all the fittings. What I'm needing to know is what are the fitting sizes for the prop valve ends and the opposite ends of the lines where they end and the soft line goes from body to axle. I've found a few places online that sell bulk hose with an assortment of SAE fittings but not many places that sell just the fittings. Any help would be appreciated so I can get them all completely replaced.

that mj adj prop valve is a pain in the ass, please keep us informed about what you end up doing with it. im no good with brake hardline, so my solutions have been to bypass it with a short jumper line. not clean, to say the least!

as far as the softline, just to make sure im getting this right? you're trying to build a softline? unless you enjoy doing stuff like this, just pickup a rear line from a 96 dodge dakota p/u. it's been plenty long for my various 5" SOA conversions. the fittings can probably found at a shop that carries AN hardware, like ANplumbing.com . i dont know for sure, as theres really no reason to re-invent the wheel. let the aftermarket handle small stuff like that.

Yah I've found a few writeup's on comancheclub.com about removing the height sensing valve, plugging the bottom port of the dist block and then running one hard line from the front of the dist block back on the comanche. Not planning on building soft lines will be replacing them with premade braided lines just planning on replacing all hard lines.

Bringing this back up to make sure I get the right fittings. I'm going to be replacing the hard line from the prop valve to the back first. The back has 3/8-24 fittings and does anyone know which fitting i need for the prop valve end? I've gotten 6 3/8 fittings and getting a 25' coil of poly armor coated 3/16 tomorrow. Just wanted to make sure I also have the correct fitting for the prop valve end.

Not sure about the prop valve end but I seem to recall it being the same size, pull the stock one out and compare. Make sure it isn't a bubble flare. If you do away with the union fitting about 8" from the prop valve on the line to the rear (may not be present on the MJ) I'm fairly certain you have standard 3/8-24 double flares on each end, otherwise it's a 3/8-24 bubble flare to go into the union iirc.

what was said above sounds right, but it's been so long since I removed mine it's all a little fuzzy.

I'm not re-using anything from the MJ the prop valve and M/C are the original ones from the 93 xj. When I make a new rear line I will replace it completely from the prop valve all the way to the mount on the frame where the rubber line runs down to the axle. Plan on making it 1 piece to eliminate any old lines as well as the height sensing valve from the MJ. I've got the 3/16" poly coated brake line, flare wrenches, and some 3/8" fittings which will allow me to get the rear line made. Then down the road after it's driveable again I'm going to work on replacing all of them even the dreaded front passenger line. I figure after doing all this fab work to create the cheromanche i want it to last for quite a long time.
