Big Sur Camping - this weekend

Hi all,

I made a last minute decision to go camping around Big Sur this weekend since its my daughters spring break next week. Online reservations were pretty booked and I'm second guessing myself on whether I should even try however there are some first come first serve spots. Anyone know if its going to be a slim chance and packed or is there a possibility of finding something? I havent been up there camping before.

There's a chance that you can find something. They are usually pretty booked up tho. You could always camp here. It's not as far as Big Sur.
And there are campground NOT on the beach, but offer "day pass" privilege to drive on the beach.

There's a chance that you can find something. They are usually pretty booked up tho. You could always camp here. It's not as far as Big Sur.
And there are campgrounds NOT on the beach (OCeano campground or North Beach), but offer "day pass" privilege to drive on the beach.

You can always train some parts from Scott up to me also, if you have room. haha.

I was in Troy meadows saturday night and it was a ghost town, maybe a change of venue is in order?

how much room needed? I might have some room but will have my whole family's camping stuff too. If I have room, I will pick up whatever I can fit.
