   Lordy! That's some purty work, there. Gonna gold plate it?

Are these beasties gonna be ready for the East meets West Showdown in Moab?

CRASH

Sean.......

Looks to me like you have all the toys! Where those done on a CNC type machine? Insedently, W.M.S. said that they would charge me $60 to turn down a shaft and put splines on it. I would assume they are talking about cut splines. You remember the thread and us discussing a crawl box out of a busted 231. What case where you telling me about at Tellico that had 6 planatarys instead of three?

Dinkley- go home :looser:

B- thought you'd like that

Crash- I was born ready

Ghost, no toys around here. We use men's tools ;) It's sort of CNC. Well it is, but I only have cnc control of my x and y axis. Z is done manually. Sure would be nice to have 5 axis control, those parts would've taken 15 minutes as opposed to 2.5 hours. I wouldn't send your shafts off to WMS. Go find your local drag race builder and he'll show you where to get it done locally. It's $50 here and I don't pay shipping. Of course, I go over and run the guys mill too so I don't quite pay that much. I think it was the dodge, don't remember right off hand. Might try the search.

I need an 800 gallon tank of pesticide!!!!!!!!

Those are very nice. Will you post your print on that if you made any.:D

Ok,I'll bite! I see a lot of oohs/aahs,but I havent seen anyone identify what they are?????Pivot shackles??

Yes please tell me, What are they?

What type of mill were they made on?

I need to buy a mill so I dont have to do everything at work. I think within a year I will have one. Maybe a HAAS since they are cheep but I also see alot of used mills for sale. I live in the northwest where Boeing causes lots of machine shops to go out of business with all there cutbacks. You people looking for machines for home use, check around here. There loss is your gain.

I'll play the game. Are they 1/4 elliptical leaf shackles for Beez? Nice work there.

241 Dodge or Chevy 3/4 ton case. All that's needed to install the whole case is a BFH. Or they'll just fit inside the 231 IIRC. :)

Ding, ding, ding- we have a winner.

They were made on a Seiki and a Klausing. The Klausing is super sweet, very smooth and reliable. If you're just using it part time/ hobbiest, there's no way I'd buy a new one. I'd look into getting an Add a Phase if you don't have your house(or wherever you're putting it) wired for 3 poles. The little adaptor boxes don't deliver the power like an AaP. I live in the machine shop capitol. 2 years ago we had 850 shops in Dayton alone. Now it's 600. Tooling is cheap right now, to bad work is slow or we could buy it. I want a HAAS machining center and will somehow have one in the next 5 years. It'll have a 20x30 bed too.

Hilltop, no print except for a tiny piece of scratch paper that has long since gotten soaked in oil and been pitched.

I would have thought they didnt use a shackle.Kind of like a sprint car torsion setup,"just a lever on a roller".
