September 28th is national public lands day. 
has an event set up and I strongly suggest you go if possible. However if you can't make that for some reason and need another option, Barstow is having a cleanup off Outlet Center drive (Barstow Main for you desert people).
7AM check in
7:30-usually lunch to fill the dumpsters
lunch until whenever: Party/off-road/fun times
