Well ive had an 89' XJ before about 6 years ago with 289,000 miles still ran body/electrical shot, it was to far gone and i left the jeep crowd temporarely untill now. I bought my new 95' from a girl whose dad is a mechanic and took excellent care of it, everything was fixed(even some auto armour on the rockers, ones rock solid the other has only a small hole, soon to be fixed) and everything runs perfect on er, she has only a bitty lift but she's my daily/outdoor fun mobile so i can't go to insane. I live in Vt and i need the 4x4 all the time, to get me to my fishing/camping spots. I paid 3,000, she has 160,000 miles but drives like its go 60,000, and im very happy with it. I have only mild plans for er.

:D welcome back, nice jeep. lift it 3 inches and run 31s on it, and you can still daily drive it all you want, and it will get you through alot more than you think it will. just stay out of the mud holes :D i drove mine every day for years with that setup and it was just like driving it stock.

good luck with it, it looks great :D

i live in chicago, so i do see the freeway speeds and city insanity too.
as it was said, its just like driving it stock.

Same here, I had a '99 2-door, but recently bought my buddy's old '95 4-door 'cause his dad is a master mechanic that babied it. 160,000 strong on mine, runs better than my '99 did with 95,000.

x3

Just "down"-graded to 29x9.5 mud terrains. Best decision I have ever made, since this is my DD, as I can now cruise down the interstate with the speedo maxxxed (85, no tire size corrections made) no problemo.

Really nice looking Jeep, I bought my 96 from someone in VT with 160k on it and it too runs like its got 60k, must be something in the water, has 180 on it now and has only needed new hoses and a starter

Id take off the Wrangler RT/S's and put some more aggressive tires on it if you plan on taking it anywhere off the road

My friend got his explorer stuck in a pathetic puddle with those tires, I drove it out for him and driving through mud I was sliding around like I was on ice

Just my 2 cents but again really nice looking Jeep, I like the black wheels
