Hey everyone.
I am getting ready to get some new tread and going to need to regear at the same time. Currently have a 1998, 4l, 5spd, 44/30 w/3.07 open, and 265/75/16.
Headed to a 285/75/16 Duratrac with 4.56 gears and am looking for some input on what I should do for lockers and possibly axle shaft upgrades. I have read a lot of good reviews about the Detroit Truetrac for the 44 and was considering an ARB for the front. This would give me the onboard air that I would like also. Or should I go air locker front and rear? What about upgrading shafts? Lots of manufacturers out there and varying pricing.
Figure since I need new carriers, I might as well do it all at once.
