Its all apart so i wrote it that way. If you want it make an offer i put an ax15 in and have nowhere to store it. I just want it out of the back of my jeep.
I don't need it..... just clarifying for those that might. Generally not preferable to use a converter that wasn't originally with the trans because of the rotating surfaces not matching. I've never seen anyone separate an AW4 bellhousing unless it was to replace a cracked one.

I've never heard that in regards to converters...lol...I put new rebuilt converter on the aw4 I put in last june the converter on the aw4 I put in was good ,but I figured I'd put in the new one I had sitting ...maybe that was not the best idea after reading this, oh well I'm sure it will be out again , so next time i'll do it right .
that's what i had heard , But I guess since the aw4 seems to be a disposable item running 40 boggers at 5800lbs it will be pulled again b4 it really matters since I just can't keep it cool and not keep turning my ATF black despite a 30k BTU cooler...I think most of the burnt ATF issue was highway driving and lack of power causing it to shft constantly building heat due to excessive shifting ...We'll see how it lasts this summer with a 4.3 and being trailered if I pull another aw4 i'll be looking at a manual like an sm 465 or nv 4500 .
