Jeff, in my last post under 'Help' you said I was answered in my previous post.You stated in that thread

"It's a known fact that the PM counts are just plain wrong, and it's on my list of things to fix up. It's not going to happen overnight it's going to take a fair amount of work on my part."

Does that mean the counts just read wrong, or my my box is broken and I won't be able to use PM's till its fixed.Upon trying to send myself a PM tonight I got this error.

1. You have reached your stored private message quota and can not send any further messages until space has been created.
2. cloudswimmer has exceeded their stored private messages quota and can not accept further messages until they clear some space.

Looks like ya just have to clear out some of your old messages. You can download them as a .xml, .csv, or .txt file if you like.

Registered Guests

With the introduction of our :: Forum Supporter status, there will also be a few changes to Registered Guest accounts on the forum. Starting on July 1, 2007; here is a list of the abilities that Registered Guests will have on :::

• Black Username Displayed
• PM Box that can store up to 100 messages
• The ability to read and post in the following forums:
  • OEM Tech Discussion
  • Modified Tech Discussion
  • Street and Performance & Other Tech
  • Land Use Forum
  • Any of the Chapter Forums

• Registered Guests will only have read access to the following forums:
  • Classified Forums
  • Non-Tech / Off Topic Forum
  • Jeep Pictures Showcase
  • Advanced Fabrication and Engineering
  • Adventure Forum

Pretty much all of the PM system is affected. You're not the only one.

Right now, while it is on my list to fix, there are quite a few items of much higher priority.

Jeff, he was probably a Member at one point.... and had X number of PM's. His membership lapsed, and he now has a lower quota.... and is above said quota.

He will not be able to do the "send yourself a PM" fix, as he is above the User quota. You will need to temporarily up his quota, let him send himself a PM, then reset his quota.

Yes I was a member, then when my membership expired I didn't renew because of other priorities in life that didn't include the XJ.Now I have the time again and just purchased an XJ Dana 44 and am on the build path to 35's, a cage and reinforced sub-frame.I was going to renew my membership but this whole PM situation has kind of got me a little worried.I noticed several key members are no longer around and it had me wondering if something has gone down with naxja since I've been away.On the plus side it looks like the Socal chapter, in which is my district, is going strong, and I'd like to be able to communicate with em off threads.If I renew my membership would this fix my PM situation, and if so how soon?Thanks much
