I want to get some sliders in the very near future. Can't afford JKS with the new house. AJ is totally off the list b/c...I can't get into that one. I stumbled across these on ebay. They don't look that bad. Thoughts?

Ditto. 2x2 is small as it is, then to make them with that thin of a wall? Yikes. Call the guy and ask if he'll make a set for ya with 3/16 for the rail AND legs and then it'd be a good deal. Any armor product for the belly, rockers or suspension that's being made from steel measured in "gauge" is too thin.

See...that's why I asked. I know nothing about metal thicknesses so when you all tell me what your bumpers are made of I just nod and say, "That's exactly what I would have used."

I think I'm going to give Martin at Rock Lizard a call. I gotta wait until my teeth get yanked though b/c it hurts like hell to talk.

The guy in on CO4x4,. I believe his screen name is "Ohana Fab", he will custom make you almost anything and even do the final welds on your jeep to make them fit perfect. I was talking with him about building me some rails, but AJ ended up having a custom set that he built for someone else and they backed out, they were exactly what I wanted and I really like them.

Curious as to why AJ is out of the question, he does good work.

I have one more week until the internet gets hooked up at the new house so I'm not here that much. I'm stealing wireless from the Country Inn now.

I don't wanna get into the AJ thing...I'm over it. Lets just say a significant order got "misplaced" and four months later I found out about it and just don't feel comfortable parting with a bit more than 1000 beans with that company any longer. I've said it a million times...he does fantastic work and I realize he is a one man show but I work hard for my money and would like to be taken seriously.

With the new house...I'm not really in a huge rush to get these. I would like to have a set installed by COFest but we'll see what she says about that.

well after I get this set knocked out and have time for you before COfest WE could get you a setup taken care off. 3/16 none of this 1/8 material stuff.
