Hi,

I got a wrong tie rod from a junk yard. It turns out 91-96 are shorter than 84-90, so I had to cut a bit on both ends. Now I have to extend the internal thread. Anybody has a proper tap ?

Thank you,
Andrey

that is an oddball tap - something like 11/16-18

Tie rod ends are a different tap than normal taps - NF for 11/16 is like 16 TPI...

I think a brand new replacement stock tie rod from Napa is like $30 - might price a few out... (and buy a spare :D)

Upper mount is in the works... getting my clutch and teralow in while the lift is available at work - then going to do the suspention, and then going to bend a lot of tube wrong and end up with a cage when im done...

Did you have to grind on your teralow input shaft to get it to fit?

Some Cherokees require one-quarter inch to be removed from the end of the input shaft in order to function properly.

No, I did not have to shave anything. It is a bit noisy, but only when Lo is engaged.

I am going to defect here a little bit. Beware, you were promised by anonymous well-wishers to be slapped, should you do your cage before suspension. :)

Maybe cut the TRE down to fit in you tie rod.

As a temporary solution - sure.

How much lift do you have ?
As what panhard bar do you use ? It looks like both rubicon and tnt have 2 different for 3" and 6" of lift.

I am also curious what is your angle between panhard bar and a drag link ?

Thank you,
Andrey
