Quail season opens this weekend, Im thinking of hunting sunday near palmdale/lancaster or possibly Lake arrowhead area.. Any of you have any recommendations for quail spots?

Ive see lots of quail over out by the pinnacles and out by Green Valley as well... Ive always wanted to hunt quail I heard theyre pretty tasty.

Ya they are really good eating but a bit trickier to hunt. They are really fast and quite.. A dog is almost required. As long as its BLM land shoud be ok to hunt. Not sure about those areas near green valley.

Yeah im not entirely sure if any of that land i mentioned is OK to hunt on...

I'll be going out next weeknd in AZ. Those birds are everywhere out here. Next month is the second season for dove too. Too bad you don't come out this way. The hunt is good.

Had good luck just about wherever we went, but one of my favorites was around Horseshoe lake. Just a beautiful area to be hiking around in.

Ya ive got some friends up in AZ who always say the hunt is great. Especially for dove. Still looking for some possible spots for this weekend.
