Altezza light differences

I know these lights are rice but I got to wonder, what is the difference between the 250 dollar lights I see at quadratec and such and the 60 dollar lights on ebay ?? I see a style difference but for almost 200 bucks more there has to be much more than style , is it reflector quality or what ?? I'm just a curious person that believes you get what you pay for but wow. I get every mag there is and troll ebay and just got to wondering becuase I always see these lights advertised and there is a huge difference.....

the first ones for 97-01XJs i ever saw were produced by IPCW, which stands for in pro car wear.
i presume there's just a bazillion percent markup on them. the regular chromed ones seem to be in little demand, which is probably why those are the ones that are frequently seen cheaply on ebay. now the black ones or the ones with the smoked lenses, if and when you see them on ebay, they go for more than the regular chrome ones.
i allways factor in shipping when talking about ebay auctions. the bottom line is what you pay for it.

i havn't noticed/looked for other altezza style lights made by other manufacturers.
in my opinion, 60 bucks? maybe. a few hundred, no way in hell.
i cruise craigslist.org on a regular basis looking for cherokee stuff. if you do the same, you might get lucky with someone in your area. no shipping charges if you just go pick the stuff up from someone in your area.

i've never seen "bermuda black" IPCW altezzas for 97-01XJs for sale under like 150. don't know why.

I heard the had a god deal on lowering springs for TJ's and "aero" wings for XJ's on Ebay to. :jester:

actually I saw some smoked ones on a street jeep and it looked pretty good, it's not like the factory lights are styling

instead of going the altezza route, i did my own custom tail light mod with some red lens repair tape (to cover up the orange, which i hate) and some AVS slotted tail light covers (to cover up the seams in the tape).
12$ brand new for the tail light covers at advance auto (they had to be in the catalog with the wrong price) and 6$ worth of tape. its a custom look, not rice, and cheap.

might be something to try if you want custom and don't want altezzas.

i have altezza lights and their a damn site nicer than the tape job hey its only money not to mention i havent seen another xj with em yet also replaced all my bulbs with leds
