Alloy Wheels

Somebody is giving me some 589 Eagle Alloy's for my Jeep. One of them has a 1/2" chunk broken off the outer edge where the tire seals to the wheel. The tire isn't leaking air, but I am worried about it cutting into the tire if I drive it like that for too long. Is there a way to repair this broken piece? Is it OK to use the wheel as is? If you can't weld on it, would something like JB weld work to "fill in" the missing chunk? Also, does anyone have any experience driving with a rim like that? I am getting these wheels with tires Friday and would like to know what I'm getting into, thanks.

Going without seeing pics, I would be awful careful about driving with a wheels like that. You certainly dont want to be driving down the freeway and have a blowout. Take it to a tire shop like Discount Tire and ask them.

I finally got these wheels and tires a couple weeks ago. It wasn't nearly as bad as the guy made it seem. It was kind of refreshing though, usually people will tell you how awesome something is, "It's in excellent shape," just to find out it's a piece of sh*t.

Anyway, it just has a very small piece "scrapped" off wheeling. It doesn't even touch the tire. It might if they are aired down to 5 psi though. Here's a pic, no close-ups of the damaged wheel though...

This is just after I trimmed the front and rear fenders, notice all the paint missing around the rear wheel well edge.
