I am new to xj's and I recently bought a 92 cherokee laredo (all stock/original). I want to lift it to run around 32''/33'' tires. The only problem is I don't know what lift to buy. Everyone seems to "make the best" on the market.. The xj will be ran on the road so it still needs to run decent on the pavement. But it will see plently of trail/offlord use. I have been looking at the following brands. rubicon express, rockkrawler, temco, tera flex and skyjacker. any advice, help n reviews appreciated.

Most people on this board are going to recommend Rubicon Express; I don't know anyone who has ever had any problems and all you ever hear are good things. To run 32s, most people say about 4.5" but they can be fit on 3". 33s can be fit on 4.5" but often are incorporated into 6-6.5". Personally, I would recommend 4.5" with some trimming to the fenders to make room for 33s.

Make sure you do some research into what needs to be changed; NAXJA search is a goldmine. But most likely a slip yoke eliminator with new driveshaft, brakelines, and a few other things are needed as well as new suspension components.

dirt, thanks for the info, The jeep in question is coming from my wifes grandparents who are the original owners, they always kept it up so its in great shape. I cant wait to start this project!!! this seems like an awsome place for info and advice on xj's. thanks again for the input.
