2001 XJ Sport, 150,000 miles. Bought it a couple of months ago and it just developed the DW when hitting potholes.
Got the trackbar off after confirming a lot of play in its bushing. Getting the balljoint loose with a pickle fork may have damaged it as it's difficult to move.
So, replacing the trackbar. It's original, there's no lift on the jeep so I'm looking for a good replacement without spending a lot. Have found them from $35 to well over $150.
Suggestions?
I've read posts about the bolt / bushing sizes so I measured the bolt with calipers. The bolt wiggles in the bushing as well as the bushing's rubber is ripped. The bolt measures 9mm at the shoulder, the head is 15mm and it's a 10.5 or 10.9 grade.
I've read about 10mm or 1/2" bolts but 9mm? Wear?
So need a TB and proper bolt and flag nut.
Thanks,
