I am about to embark on a few adventures with my two sons over the next 7 weeks.
We are starting tomorrow in Mammoth/Bridgeport/Western Sierras area through Monday. We will be doing the normal hiking/fishing/bear scouting. Anything unusual we should do or see?(not the normal devils postpile stuff)
Between destinations, I will need to get a few days of work in to pay for gas.....
Then off again to the high deserts and big bear for gold prospecting/precious stone hunting.
Back up to the Eastern Sierras for more hiking, fishing, scouting (Sequoia National Forest, Kings Canyon)
Work another week, and back up to the Western Sierras again. Fishing the Miracle Mile, and surrounding areas.
We love to find the little things, like the Cottonwood Charcoal Kilns, and the Manzanar Relocation Center is an interested way to spend 2 hours.
Any Sierra Nevada Mountain Experts? Guide us!!!
