i haven't been to the one in Bensenville for a few years......but it used to be really good. plus it's not too far from the city

I went to the Tinley Park one 2 years ago. Good fireworks, a couple good bands, and you were allowed to BYOB. I'll ask Fred for more info (he lives there)

Naperville's Ribfest show is decent and Bolingbrook has great ones by the new golf course. Lombard too. Lisle is another good one. I'll get days and times Gil. Check online for Lisle's Eyes to the Skies fest, Naper's Ribfest. Ribfest has REO and the Doobies this year for bands as well.

I've been downtown for shows several times and they are always so short in comparison.

cruise out by my place tomorrow night, there's a fireworks show at the park 2 blocks from us around 9pm, there's also a parade at 6:30 I'm taking my 4 nephews to.

Ribfest is fun too, I went a few years ago for the music and food, must have missed the fireworks.

There's also a good fireworks show at Memorial Stadium in Joliet.

Arlington Park has a good fireworks show at the horse race track. Free admission after the races. they have a little playground and stuff for the kids. Chicanos are welcome. Do you know any? :looney:

You can always make a big trek, and we will scoot a few more lawn chairs onto the porch roof. It probably won't fall, and I don't own a hound dog.

STAY AWAY FROM RIBFEST OR NAPERVILLE!

Overpriced...overtight....overcroweded.

I used to live there and still would not go.
