found that a new skid with bolts can be had at the dealership for $69.00 part# 82202851. don't know if the same as 96 and older DC says not. not bad for skid plate and mounting hardware.
97+ front factory skid info

Well, I can't give you a guarentee, but I took a good look at Remi's skid (it was mounted to his '98 at the time) and it sure looks the same. One of these days we're going to pull both our skids (mine's an '89) and compare them...

I have a 97+ front skid on my 96, no problems installing it at all, everything bolt wise matched up

I put a skid from an '89 on my '98. bolted right up with no problems.

It'll work. Try a junkyard for that skid......$69 is alot imho

yes and no $69.00 is a lot of money, but that is with mounting hardware and new skid, i can't find one around here so it was simple to go and get one and mount it not spend alot of time and find one. just my .02
