Relays are working. I swapped them around during my initial testing. Also threw in some spares i had. Pump is on and working so relay is working.
I ordered a timing light. No one rents them so i just ponied up. It will be here tomorrow. Going to do some testing tomorrow night probably. Got some major changes coming up soon. Need to get this jeep running and out of here.
Tps has been tested three times. Good every time except at wide open throttle. Voltage is a little under spec. No dead spots.
Throttle position while cranking has no effect.
Starting fluid while cranking has no effect. The injectors are indeed firing as they are supposed to. None are leaking as tested with a fuel pressure guage.
It has a fairly steady stumble while cranking. But as soon as you let off the key it dies.
Everyone i talk to seems to say timing. So ill know that tonight or tomorrow with a timing light.
My buddies jeep has a similar problem. 4l obd2. We would have to jump it, and while he was cranking he would give it a decent amount of gas and it would eventually start, but then it wouldnt hold idle so he would have to keep his foot on the gas. Maybe check your idle controller in the throttle body, might be dirty or bad. His was also not throwing any codes.
Yeah. All of those systems are checked and checked and rechecked to all be functioning. Thats why every one that ive talked to says it has to be timing. If it isnt im not sure what ill do.
