87' with factory d44

i have been hearing from several people that a lot of 87's have d44s. i dont plan on crawling in the snow right now to figure it out. its a 2dr with no frills and rubber floors. might i have an old service jeep or something. there is no tow hitch, but there could have been back in the day. its also the 4.0 w/aw4 trans, 231 tcase. thanks. lets hear what everyone has to say.

I think that you will have to crawl in the snow and figure it out There is a chance it has a 44, but short of doing the visual inspection.....

Agreed, you'll have to visually confirm a dana 44 or a dana 35. Not all 87's had them, but if they had a tow package your chances are greatly increased. I hear the snow is pretty deep for U out on your coast. :laugh3:
